A country girl with an obsession for all things Community
"Grant Writing - The practice of completing an application process for a financial grant provided by an institution such as a Government Department, Corporation, Foundation or Trust". Wikipedia.
My name is Sue Pearce and I live in the beautiful Riverina Region of NSW. I became a grant writer in 2010 when I became a Coordinator for a local Men Shed. I soon discovered I had a passion for grant writing and have completed countless applications sourced from Government, local corporations and organisations, philanthropic and Australian businesses alike. My success rate is high and I attribute this to having a genuine interest and passion in seeing the goals and missions of not for profits being fulfilled. I realise that this in turn not only strengthens the sector as a whole but builds capacity and sustainability at a local level which is important for local Communities. I also have a background in Finance and have been a Bookkeeper for 27 years. As the saying goes "you can count on someone who can count". I have also dabbled in Scholarship Writing with great success.
Grant writing requires strong communication skills, the ability to apply strategic thinking and to develop the right solution for individual organisations. Does your organisation utilise a Grants Calendar? Do you have a dedicated Grants Writer? Do you know what grants are available to you? Do you plan ahead to avoid last minute panic? Do you hit "send" knowing you have not really met all eligibility criteria? Do you know what is available during the Covid-19 pandemic?
If Grant Writing is a pain and you dread having to fill in those lengthy, complicated applications then give me a call. I can attend your premises within the local Griffith, Leeton or Wagga Wagga area, or I can complete a phone consultation. Rest assured that with modern technology and a wonderful home office there are no barriers to working remotely and communicating effectively. We do not have to live in the same region.
I also offer a Consultancy Service. Have you written a grant and need fresh eyes to look over it before you lodge it? Have you been unsuccessful with a grant application that you put a lot of time and effort into? Are you unsure what to include with an application? Do you need help deciphering the sometimes complicated guidelines? I can review all documents and provide a written report. Contact me to discuss your options. Confidentiality assured.
To enhance my professional development and connection with funding bodies, I regularly attend workshops, webinars and presentations. By keeping a finger on the pulse I can source the right grant for the right situation. So...........
Why wait?? Contact me now to help take the sting out of grant writing.
